QUALIFIED MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATE (QMHA) Training

 QMHA I

• Complete a combination of relevant education and/or work experience equivalent to 3 years (See QMHA Qualification Matrix Formula)
• Complete 1,000 hours of supervised experience as a QMHA-R
• Complete Level I Professional Psychometric Competency Exam

QMHA II

• Must be certified as a QMHA I
• Complete 4,000 hours of supervised experience as a QMHA
• Complete Level II Professional Psychometric Competency Exam

All courses at the Healing Helpers Academy are approved by the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). Course schedules are flexible for the least amount of disruption in your personal and professional lives as you work toward certification. Courses are offered both online and in-person. All courses can be completed online with live virtual trainings. At this time, we do not offer self-directed (uni-directional) online trainings to ensure that trainees have the opportunity to engage with the instructor.
